Hi everyone! A new school year is in full-swing and I'm getting comfortable with my new set of homeschooling requirements here in Pennsylvania as opposed to Virginia. I've purposed in my heart and mind that I'll make it no matter what. The focus is still the same: raising these wonderful kids of mine. As of August 25, 2010, we are back in session.
I have to tell you, last year was a bear for me. It was difficut to get through the school year, but I was pleased with the results. This year, I'm pleased with the way class is going for both girls. It has been so much more calm so far, and the kids are focusing more than I had expected them to.
I'm mostly doing LIFEPAC books this year. However, any time we want to delve deeper into a subject, I utilize any and all resources necessary to get the lessons taught. Would you like to see a list of the books I'm using? If so, I'll post them this weekend. Just let me know at: amydmcnutt@gmail.com.
Do you want to know what the requirements are for homeschooling in your state, or do you need representation to defend your right to homeschool? Go here: http://www.hslda.org/.
Good luck to all of you, whether you are homeschooling or sending your kids off to school! It's going to be another great year! I will have pictures and more to report next week, so check back.
